Josh Shores, Color Team
Cultural, indigenous, and mastered: three words that describe the artistry of Josh Shores. With a seasoned background in hair color transformation for 18 years, it is no wonder that Josh has been dubbed the King of Balayage in the Chicagoland area. Josh began his career in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. He is constantly transforming and continuing his education in hair color. He has attended the L'Oreal Soho Academy Balayage Certification Program, and trained under Balayage elites such as Nancy Braun and Candy Shaw Codner. In addition to training under Nancy and Candy, he was listed along side them in Behind the Chair Magazine as “the Transition Artist.” Josh’s work has been featured in Instyle Magazine, W Magazine, Health Magazine, Chicago Magazine, OK! Magazine, Behindthechair.com the raw issue Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Health.com, and Manupchicago.com. Josh is known for his huge case of wanderlust. He finds most of his inspiration from his travels. Along with travel comes the influence of different fashion and architecture of different people around the world. He brings what he learns from his travels back to Chicago for a fresh twist on his client’s hair color. Josh’s beautiful work has caught the eye of celebrities such as Yolandi Visser, Pamella Roland, and Diane Howard. He lives for beautiful hair, fashion, and creative culture.
